2.7 quake detected 20 miles west of Hickman

A small quake was detected early Saturday morning in southeast Missouri just west of Fulton County, Kentucky.

The 2.7 tremor occurred just after midnight about 5 miles north of New Madrid, Missouri, and 20 miles west of Hickman, Kentucky.

It was originally reported as a 3.0 quake, at a depth of 7 miles.
