Fiscal Court authorizes code officers to investigate violations of occupational license tax

The McCracken Fiscal Court on Monday approved amending an ordinance to authorize McCracken County Code Enforcement Officers to investigate alleged criminal violations of the occupational license tax.

The officers will be able to issue criminal complaints.

In addition, the ordinance subjects code enforcement officers to confidentiality provisions during and after their  participation in an enforcement action.

In other action, the court approved paying the City of Paducah $558,880 for the E911 fee collection for the period of November 1- 21.
