Whitehaven hosting Christmas Open House on Saturday

Whitehaven, the Kentucky Welcome Center on I-24, is hosting their annual Christmas Open House on Saturday.

The event will take place from Noon until 5:30 p.m. giving visitors the chance to walk through the historic home and see decorations and displays put together by some of the area's garden clubs and other volunteers. Live performances of holiday music from local musicians will add to the experience. 

According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, there will be refreshments and the Paducah Ambassadors will be on hand to help visitors and answer their questions about the historic home. Santa will also make an appearance to visit with the kids from 2 to 4 p.m. 

A couple of prize drawings will also take place. Those who stop and sign up could win a one-night stay at Paducah's Courtyard Marriott or a gift basket prepared by the McCracken County Public Library.
