State Parks staff win award from Kentucky travel industry

The staff and employees of Kentucky State Parks were honored last week by the Kentucky Travel Industry Association during the association's annual awards luncheon in Bowling Green.

Kentucky Tourism, Arts, and Heritage Cabinet Secretary Lindy Casebier presented the Star of the Travel Industry Award to Kentucky State Parks employees. The award recognizes excellence in a wide scope of tourism offerings including hotels, restaurants, golf, museums and attractions offered at state parks, including several in western Kentucky.

Western Kentucky was well represented with other award winners. The Daviess County Convention and Visitors Bureau, which operates under the name Visit Owensboro, was also recognized with four Kentucky Travel Industry Association Traverse Awards.
