The City of Paducah will host Small Business Saturday in Downtown Paducah on November 27.

The City will host the No Place Like Local Small Business Saturday event on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Enjoy live music, strolling carolers, free carriage rides, photos with Santa and his sleigh, costumed characters at the Dickens Carriage Corner, s'mores at Yeiser Art Center, and more.

River Discovery Center will provide a day camp for children ages five and up from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., allowing parents to shop stress-free while kids enjoy crafts, games, and pizza.

Over the past several months, the historic downtown district has welcomed several new businesses and the expansion of others.

The new businesses that opened their doors this year include the following:

• Broadway Nutrition - 333 Broadway
• Café de Fae -- 533 Madison Street
• HaleyK Photography -- 106 South 3rd Street
• Home2 Décor & Gifts - 216 Broadway
• Home Floral Shoppe & Wedding Design Studio – 132 South 3rd Street
• Lepa Jewelry – 108 Broadway
• MOVE Realty – 128 Market House Square
• Over/Under - 314 Broadway
• Paducah Home Theatre – 420 North 7th Street
• Self-E Beautique – 104 Broadway
• The Focus Building - 221 Kentucky Avenue
• The Pour Room - 110 South 3rd Street
• VonThera – 207 Broadway

The businesses that have expanded their operation include:

• bbQ & More – 321 Broadway (expanded courtyard)
• Market House Theatre – 132 Market House Square (outdoor performance area)
• Pipers Lab – 701b Washington Street (lab expansion into second location)
• The 1857 Hotel – 119 South 3rd Street (second event space and additional hotel unit)

Small Business Saturday is dedicated to supporting small businesses across the country. Founded by American Express in 2010, the day is celebrated on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
