The Kentucky Arts Council invites all Kentucky visual artists to submit work this month for consideration in the upcoming Governor's Derby Exhibit. The works selected for the exhibit will be on display in the Capitol Rotunda and available for viewing by all visitors to the state capitol.
All Kentucky visual artists aged 18 and older are welcome to submit up to two entries. The work must be original; two-dimensional, and include hanging wire, with a depth of no more than six inches. The overall dimensions, including frame, may not exceed 36 inches in height or width, nor be heavier than 25 pounds.
Pieces submitted for this exhibit should include scenes, stories or themes that reflect the capacity to withstand, recover or overcome.
Submission deadline is March 30.
