Graves County Chief Deputy Jeremy Prince has been in Frankfort this week helping instruct a DRE class for other law enforcement officers.
Prince is just 1 of 13 Drug Recognition Expert Instructors in the Commonwealth for this program.
The program's primary purpose is to combat DUI offenses by teaching officers how to determine, through a 12 step process, what drug category or categories a driver may be under the influence when alcohol is not present or at a low level in an impaired driver's system.
This year's DRE class included 14 officers, deputies and troopers from across the state.
