Calvert City Fall Clean-up Day offers residents the opportunity to dispose properly of garbage and household hazardous waste.
The free service is scheduled from 8 to noon on October 21st at Doctors Park behind the Marshall County Public Library Calvert City Branch.
Volunteers from Public Works will assist in unloading vehicles.
Participants must bring proper identification to confirm they are residents of Calvert City. Acceptable IDs to verify residency include a driver’s license or water bill .
Acceptable items for disposal include document shredding, tires (limit of eight per household), old prescription drugs, bulk/large items, used oils, antifreeze, latex paint, hazardous household waste, fluorescent lamps and bulbs, old prescription drugs, and thermostats.
SmartPath technologies will be on-site to assist in wiping computer hard drives.
