Ready, Set, Cook, Eat and Enjoy Paducah's 22nd Ever Barbecue on the River . . . an annual Community Charitable Event (see photos for map of vendors for this year).

THURSDAY, Sept. 22nd

Lots of tasty barbecue and fixins' available at various food booths beginning at 11 am
Live entertainment on the Main Stage & the 2nd Street Beer Garden stage. These stages are located in front of the Main Stage & 2nd Street Beer & Wine Gardens, which open at 11 am and close at 11 pm.

Marine Industry Days
10:00 am  –  3:00 pm 
Paducah Riverfront, Wilson Stage Area.  Activities include public tours of a river towboat, the annual line throwing contest and displays of Maritime Equipment.  Registration for Line Throwing Competition begins at 10:00 am with competition beginning at 1:00 pm
This is a great opportunity for the general public to experience a slice of "LIFE ON THE RIVER"
Note:  The boat tours are subject to vessel proximity and availability.

Pumpkin, gourds, and mums, OH MY!  From 10 am to 10 pm, Saturday, September 24th ONLY, you can shop your local Farmers' Market vendors STREETSIDE during BBQ on the River hours, for all your homegrown goods. 

To celebrate this great BBQ and Farmers Market partnership and get you excited for this year's NEW fall festival location, we will kick off with three nights of Farmers' Market music and entertainment from 6 - 9 pm on both Thursday September 22nd and Friday, September 23rd and 6-10 pm on Saturday evening September 24th at the small stage located just inside 3rd Street.  Bring you lawn chairs or enjoy the rustic hay-bale seating.

Raise the most money for charity.
Cook the best BBQ in the country.
Draw the biggest crowd to historic downtown Paducah.
 
TRAFFIC INFORMATION RELATED TO WEEKEND EVENTS:

The following roads are closed for Barbeque on the River:

•Water Street from Broadway toward Schultz Park
•Kentucky Avenue at 3rd Street, and the Kentucky Avenue entrance to the riverfront
•2nd Street at Broadway
•Jefferson Street at 3rd Street
•Madison Street at 3rd Street
•Monroe Street at 3rd Street
•Water Street at Washington
•Broadway at 3rd Street

The intersections at Broadway and 4th Street and Broadway and 5th Street may be closed at some times during the festival. Shuttle service will be provided from Carson Park Thursday and Friday, 4-10 pm and Saturday 10 am -10 pm. The shuttle will take festival goers from Carson Park to a drop off point behind the empty lot that previously housed a nursing facility on North 3rd Street. Handicapped parking is located behind the Finkel’s building (enter lot from Washington Street).  

The 22nd Annual United Way 5K and Youth 1 Mile Race is also Saturday. The races will start near the Paducah Bank main office at 555 Jefferson Street. The 5K race begins at 9 am with the youth race starting around 10 am. For the safety of runners, lanes of traffic will be blocked on 5th Street between Jefferson and Harrison Streets, Jefferson and Harrison Streets between 5th and 19th streets, and short sections of 14th, 13th and Madison Streets. 

Bicyclists will be participating in the Misaligned Minds tour around the city, too. Law enforcement escorts will accompany groups of riders on area streets.
