The event will be held at Viera, Florida’s Space Coast Complex, the former Spring Training home of Major League Baseball’s Florida (now Miami) Marlins, Montreal Expos and Washington Nationals. Rose will represent the Commonwealth of Kentucky on Team Northeast.
Talan is a rising 8th Grader at South Marshall Middle School, where he also is a member of the Marshals basketball and baseball teams. He is in his third year with the Kentucky Prospects travel baseball team, coached by Brad Bishop and Allen Rice.
Currently ranked 11th in USSSA Kentucky power rankings, the team appeared in the semi-finals of the 2019 USSSA Global World Series in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
Rose said, “Our Prospects team plays tough competition every weekend, so I am excited to go to Florida and represent Kentucky Prospects baseball. This is an opportunity that I want to make the most of, not only for me, but all of my teammates, coaches and my family.”
During the event, all players will be evaluated by professional scouts on the five tools of baseball in a combine setting and atmosphere. Scouts will calculate the participant’s skills set as compared to other same age players from across the country.
The USSSA All American Games have been designed to allow the top players in each of the six regions (Northeast, South, Southwest, Midwest, Southeast, West) to compete against each other on a national stage. USSSA will host three teams of 12 athletes per age division of 8u – 14u in each of the regions. The 2020 All American Games will have a four game guarantee.
Talan is the son of Brandy and Jeremy Rose of Benton. He has one brother, Kelan.
