Haynes added 19 pounds, 15 ounces Friday to his first effort of 26-3, for a two-day total of 46-2. But Jason Lambert is less than three pounds behind Haynes, after 24-6 and 19-8 limits for a total of 43-14.
On Saturday the top 30 anglers will have the lakes to themselves. Fishermen on the board from positions 31-50 end their tourney with cash prizes of $10,000 apiece.
Local pros wrapping up their week on the lake included Ramie Colson Jr. of Cadiz (73rd) and Paducah's Terry Bolton (114th).
Co-anglers also wrapped up on Friday, with Dyersburg's Ronnie Wilson taking the top spot and a check for $20,000. Wilson finished with nine fish weighing 26-14.
Paducah's Daniel Schroeder finished 34th in the co-angler division, and Eddyville's Maurice Cobb came in 35th.
Weigh-ins Saturday and Sunday will be at 4 pm. From noon til 4, the FLW Expo will be open with activities and giveaways for the family.
