Murray State hires Rose Bowl Stadium GM as new COO of Athletics

Murray State University has added a new member to its athletic department.

First reported by the Murray Ledger and Times, Murray State Vice President and Director of Athletics Nico Yantko announced Monday afternoon that Derek Doolittle, currently the general manager of the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California, will become the school's new Chief Operating Officer for Athletics.

Doolittle has served with the Rose Bowl Stadium for the last three years.  Before that, he served six years in UCLA's athletic department.

Doolittle served the Bruins in various roles in facilities, operations and capital projects.  Before that, he also worked in the athletic department at the University of Missouri, where Yantko began his career as an athletic administrator.
