Two small earthquakes were reported Thursday morning - one in northwest Tennessee and one in southeast Missouri.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey at the University of Memphis, a 2.3 magnitude quake took place at 1:52 am. It was centered near Elizabeth, about 32 miles southwest of Union City or 12 miles east of Dyersburg.
At 10:26 am, another quake took place about a mile from La Forge, Missouri, which is about 6 miles north of New Madrid. This quake measured 2.2 on the Richter Scale.
The USGS says that these quakes are a bit weaker than the threshold of where humans can feel the ground shaking.
No damage has been reported from these earthquakes.
