A magnitude 2.1 earthquake was reported in southeast Missouri Wednesday morning.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey at the University of Memphis, the quake was centered 3.4 miles west-northwest of Portageville, and 21.6 miles Northeast of Kennett. It occurred at 7:03 a.m.
The USGS says that a quake of 2.5 is the threshold of humans being able to detect the ground shaking.
No damage has been reported from this earthquake.
