An Obion County man faces assault charges after two people were stabbed Tuesday night in Rives.
The Obion County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded at around 10:30 p.m. to a report of a stabbing on Church Drive.
When deputies arrived, two victims, Jeremy Loraine and Payton Breeden, had already been taken to Union City Baptist Memorial Hospital by private vehicle after being stabbed several times.
Loraine and Breeden told deputies Juan Sarmiento was the one who stabbed them during an altercation.
Deputies located Sarmiento outside the home and took him to a hospital for a treatment of a possible head injury. They later arrested him on two counts of aggravated assault. He is being held without bond at the Obion County Jail, and his arraignment has been set for Friday.
