Two North Carolina men face a long list of charges after a report of suspicious activity at a truck dealership in Graves County.
The Graves County Sheriff's Department says a report came in shortly after 6 a.m. Sunday about suspicious activity at Tindal Truck Sales north of Mayfield. When they arrived, deputies met 50-year-old Todd Hamilton Wishon of Walkertown, North Carolina and 55-year-old Timothy Alan Doss of Mount Airy, North Carolina. Both men reportedly told deputies they were just looking at the trucks that were on the lot.
Deputies said their investigation revealed the men were in a truck pulling a stolen 20-foot trailer containing several items including an engine, transmission, fuel tanks and other items stolen from Tindal Truck Sales and Youngbloods RV Supercenter. They also found eight grams of methamphetamine, digital scales, baggies and illegal prescription drugs in the truck. Four handguns were also found, one of which had been reported stolen out of North Carolina.
After checking registration plates and vehicle identification numbers on the vehicle and trailer, investigators learned the trailer was stolen out of West Virginia and it had a stolen license plate on it from North Carolina. The truck also had a license plate from another truck.
During the ongoing investigation it was determined that some of the items loaded on the trailer were stolen from Tindal Truck Sales. Also items from Youngbloods RV Supercenter and Youngbloods Excavating Company were located in the vehicle and on the trailer.
Both men were booked into the Graves County Jail.
Wishon is charged with firearm enhanced trafficking in meth, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, receiving a stolen firearm, receiving stolen property more than $10,000, theft of a vehicle registration plate, first degree possession of a controlled substance, receiving stolen property less than $10,000, third degree possession of a controlled substance, illegal possession of a legend drug, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of burglary tools, possession of drug paraphernalia, no registration plate, and no registration receipt.
