Two people were involved in a two-vehicle injury accident on KY 293 in Caldwell County Thursday.
Kentucky State Police say around 4:15 pm, 27-year-old Angela Harp, of Princeton, was going south on KY 293 near mile marker nine when she lost control of her vehicle in the wet conditions and traveled into the northbound lane colliding head on with another vehicle going north driven by 55-year-old Ross L. Kaiser of Princeton. Kaiser tried to avoid the crash but was unable to.
Kaiser’s vehicle came to rest partially in the roadway facing northbound. Harp’s vehicle came to rest off the west shoulder of the roadway facing west.
Kaiser was taken to the Caldwell County Emergency Room where he was treated and released. Harp was also taken to the Caldwell County Emergency Room and later taken to Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville.
Harp’s two children, one-year-old Dakota Harp and two-year-old Kya Harp, were treated and released from the Caldwell County Emergency Room. Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident and both children were in child safety seats.
Kentucky State Police were assisted by the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department, the Princeton Fire Department and Caldwell County EMS.
