The Carlisle County Sheriff's Office said 29-year-old Richard Elder was traveling on County Road near Cunningham, when his vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Mitchell Carrico of Fancy Farm. Elder told officers that he had looked down for a moment, and when he looked up the vehicles collided.
Elder and Carrico both had to be cut out of their vehicles, and were flown to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville for treatment of injuries.
