Two Injured in Carlisle County Crash

Kentucky State Police troopers and Carlisle County Sheriff's deputies responded to a two vehicle crash at the KY 121 and KY 408 intersection shortly after 1:00 pm on Thursday.

An investigation showed that 20-year-old Brittany Babb, of Sikeston, was traveling south on KY 121, while 56-year-old Jerey Lee, of Park Hills, Missouri was traveling north in a semi truck.

For unknown reasons, Lee's truck crossed the center line and collided with Babb's vehicle.

Babb was airlifted to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, and Lee was taken to Jackson Purchase Medical Center where he was treated and released.

Troopers say that Lee was wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision, but Babb was not. 

The KSP Post 1 reconstruction team was also called to the scene to further investigate the crash.
