According to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, a vehicle driven by Troy Long of Calvert City was traveling east on US 68, and a vehicle driven by Charles Henning of Grand Rivers was traveling west. A witness told deputies that Long was driving erratically and traveling at a high rate of speed. According to the police report, Long's vehicle hydroplaned, crossed the center line and struck Henning's vehicle.
Deputies said both drivers were found in possession of methamphetamine. Due to their injuries, both men were cited to appear in Marshall District Court.
Long is charged with possession of meth, possession of controlled substance and prescription controlled substance not in the proper container. Henning is charged with possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.
