On Tuesday troopers with the Kentucky State Police and deputies with the Lyon County Sherriff's Office executed search warrants at two separate homes near State Route 93 in Eddyville.
At the first home, deputies met 42-year-old Paula J. Hunter. While searching her home, deputies allegedly found two grams of methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. At the home of 38-year-old Benjamin Trafford, deputies reportedly found 51 grams of methamphetamine, marijuana, alprazolam, and cash believed to be the proceeds of illegal drug sales.
Hunter and Trafford were both arrested. Hunter is with first degree first offense trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Trafford is charged with firearm enhanced first degree first offense possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance third degree, possession of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
They were lodged in the Crittenden County Jail.
