Only one person was slightly injured in a three-vehicle collision Saturday morning in Lyon County.

The Lyon County Sheriff's Department responded at 10:45 am to the intersection of US-62/Kentucky Highway 93 and Lake Barkley Drive in Kuttawa. They say 30-year-old Allison Nelson of Owensboro was southbound on Lake Barkley Drive and attempting to cross Highway 62 when she failed to yield to an eastbound pickup truck driven by 19-year-old Tina Fogelsong of Oneida, Illinois.

The collision with Nelson's SUV caused Fogelsong's truck to spin out of control and hit a car driven by 62-year-old Tara Stinnett of Kuttawa, who was also eastbound on Highway 62. Nelson's and Fogelsong's vehicles were disabled.

One of four passengers in Fogelsong's truck complained of back pain but declined to be taken to the hospital after being examined on the scene.

Lyon County EMS, Kuttawa Fire Department and Eddyville Police assisted at the scene.
