A shoplifting complaint Friday night at a local retailer led to the arrest of a Mayfield pair.

The Mayfield Police Department says officers responded at around 10 p.m. to a shoplifting complaint at Walmart. When officers arrived they found 26-year-old Tyler Ellegood outside and 44-year-old Erica Liebler inside the store. Officers detained Liebler and Ellegood while they investigated, speaking to witnesses and viewing surveillance video that reportedly showed evidence of shoplifting.

Officers arrested both suspects and booked them into the Graves County Jail. Liebler was charged with third-degree burglary. Ellegood was charged with theft by unlawful taking/shoplifting under $500.
