Sen. Paul to Visit Area, Perform Free Surgeries

Kentucky US Senator Rand Paul is scheduled to speak in Paducah on Tuesday, and perform some free surgeries as well.

Senator Paul will address the medical staff of Lourdes Hospital at noon. He'll then speak with members of the media around 1 pm at the Ambulatory Surgery Center in Paducah. It is located inside the Pain Management Center pavillion in Lone Oak, which is where the surgeries will be performed.

Also participating in the event is Dr. Barbara Bowers of Paducah, who has done preoperative work with the patients. Senator Paul and Dr. Bowers will concentrate on one eye of each patient.
