Sports radio has a new sound in Paducah - 99.5 The Fan.

Bristol Broadcasting launched the new AM 1560 WPAD and FM 99.5 Wednesday, switching from ESPN Radio to a combined format that includes Fox Sports Radio and CBS Sports Radio.

Featured programming includes some household names in sports journalism, like Dan Patrick, Jim Rome, and Doug Gottlieb.

Program Director Chris Singler said, "We're excited to bring the best names in sports to Paducah, our hope is to add more live sports, and local content as The Fan grows. We foresee 99.5 The Fan and 995thefanpaducah.com becoming this regions sports hub."

All programming is being streamed around-the-clock.

The stations will continue to broadcast basketball games featuring the University of Louisville Cardinals, and Lone Oak High School's Purple Flash.
