A company executive has fleshed out some more details regarding a new call center in Paducah that will bring hundreds of jobs to the area, and what kind of applicants they are looking for.
Teletech Senior Vice President of Global Operations Todd Baxter told the Greg Dunker Show Wednesday that the company intends to hire about 400 people to fill various positions to staff a "state of the art Customer Experience Center." The new 30,000 square-foot building in the Paducah Commerce Park will reportedly provide an array of customer experience and multi-channel communications services on behalf of a major health insurance provider.
Baxter said the company is looking for qualified candidates to do a wide array of jobs, from entry level positions to management. "We are going to create approximately 400 jobs in Paducah," Baxter said. "These jobs are everything from entry-level positions, to trainers, recruiters, supervisors and managers. All the support structure necessary to manage a group that large we're hiring for as well."
Baxter said anyone can apply, and training will be provided, but he said applicants with experience in the customer service and hospitality sectors, as well as the healthcare industry are being encouraged to apply. "Ideally, our candidates are going to have experience in the service sector. We find that a lot of our new employees come from the foodservice industry, or from the hotel or hospitality industry. Certainly anyone who has experience in the healthcare industry would be encouraged to apply, as well as anyone with previous call center experience." Baxter said.
