Deputies initially arrived at the home with Adult Protective Services to perform a welfare check on 72-year-old Talonna S. McCormick.
When Detectives arrived they reportedly heard gunshots coming from inside of the home. After entering the home, they encountered William H. McCormick in medical distress. He passed away a short time later. Talonna was found deceased.
Autopsies on William and Talonna were performed on Tuesday, and reportedly revealed that Talonna died from a close-range gunshot wound to the chest, while William reportedly died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest.
Detectives say they both suffered from other medical conditions.
The investigation is ongoing.
