Murray Woman Pleads Guilty to Murder of Ex-husband

A woman charged with the murder of her ex-husband has pleaded guilty in court.

Tammy Allen of Murray appeared in Calloway County Circuit Court Tuesday. Court records show she entered guilty pleas to charges of murder and tampering with physical evidence.

Those charges came after police found the body of her ex-husband Jimmie Taylor underneath a mobile home in September 2018. Police said their investigation revealed Allen fatally shot Taylor twice in the head after an argument.

Allen faces a total of 30 years in prison for the charges.
