Murray Police to Host Citizen's Police Academy

The Murray Police Department has sent out an invitation to attend their upcoming Citizen's Police Academy.

In a press release, the department invited anyone who is interested in law enforcement, lives in Murray and would like to meet officers or learn how the Murray Police operates to attend their next academy beginning on April 20.

The Spring 2020 Citizens Police Academy will meet every Monday at 6:30 p.m. through June 8.

Each week attendees will learn about different aspects of police work from officers, detectives, prosecutors, firearms instructors, and other parts of the criminal justice system.

Anyone 18 or older is welcome to join. The classes are held in the Murray Police Department headquarters, at 104 North 5th Street.
