A Wingo man was taken to the hospital after a medical emergency led to a car accident on Friday.

Graves County deputies said the single-vehicle crash happened on KY 129 about four miles north of Pilot Oak. They said 35-year-old Joshua Dunam blacked out while driving, possibly due to becoming overheated. Dunam drove off of the shoulder then back across KY 129, nearly hitting a vehicle before he hit an embankment.

Dunham was assessed for minor injuries and taken to a local hospital by a family member.
