A Mayfield man was arrested Thursday on theft and burglary charges.

The Mayfield Police Department says officers responded to David Taylor Chrysler on U.S. 45 North for a report of a stolen vehicle. When officers arrived, they said 24-year-old Devin Norsworthy of Mayfield was attempting to put the vehicle back on the property.

As officers approached Norworthy he began to flee on foot. Norsworthy was detained a few blocks away and taken into custody.

Video surveillance was reviewed, and showed Norsworthy unlawfully entering the building, and taking the vehicle.

Norsworthy was charged with third degree burglary and theft by unlawful taking (auto). He was lodged in the Graves County Jail.
