According to the Mayfield Police Department, officers responded Friday afternoon to a report of a man in a wheelchair in the middle of College Street. Officers arrived and identified the man as 41-year-old Jared Hayes.
During the course of the investigation, police said Hayes was found in possession of a syringe and a clear container concealing methamphetamine. He was arrested and lodged in the Graves County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
