Aaron Svoboda pleaded guilty on Monday in Graves Circuit Court to wanton endangerment, two counts of 4th degree assault and five counts of unlawful imprisonment. He'll be sentenced to four years in prison.
Mayfield police officers responded to a home on East College Street last September, where Svoboda was allegedly threatening to kill himself and his family with a knife. A child had escaped from the home and fled down the street to call 911.
Svoboda attempted to flee on foot, but was apprehended after a brief chase.
Officers said they found a large kitchen knife outside the home. They also found Svoboda had been restricting the movement of family members, and had taken their phones to prevent them from calling for help.
