Ezell Miller was convicted Friday night. A Graves County jury returned the guilty verdict at approximately 8:00 pm.
Miller will spend the rest of his life behind bars without the possibility of parole. Formal sentencing is set for April 14.
Miller is charged with the 2016 fatal shooting of Lauren Alexander. Mayfield police found Alexander inside her West Hale Street home with a gunshot wound. Officers also found Miller at the home.
Alexander was taken to Jackson Purchase Medical Center, then to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN where she later passed away.
Miller was charged with murder, 1st degree burglary, tampering with physical evidence, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and 1st degree wanton endangerment.
