A man was arrested Friday on drug charges at the scene of a shooting in Marshall County that left a pregnant woman dead.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Office says 25-year-old Blake Williams was arrested Friday on charges of possession of meth and drug paraphernalia. He was released Monday on bond.

A deputy confirmed Wednesday morning that Williams was a person of interest in the death investigation of 19-year-old Marissa Copeland of Calvert City, who was shot Friday afternoon at Lakeland Resort in Aurora. She later died at a local hospital.

According to deputies, during the death investigation a search warrant was obtained for the address. Detectives allegedly found methamphetamine, digital scales and plastic baggies with small quantities of methamphetamine.

The deputy said more information about the case will be released soon.
