By West Kentucky Star Staff
MAYFIELD - A Mayfield man was arrested Sunday on harassment charges.

The Mayfield Police Department received word from Kentucky State Police dispatch that 58-year-old Walter Shelton was making numerous 911 calls. Each time, Shelton was allegedly making threats to kill dispatchers and others.

Shelton was contacted by the Mayfield Police Department and advised to stop calling. Shelton said that he would stop, but moments later he made an additional call and again threatened to kill the dispatcher.

Officers went to Shelton's home, and placed him under arrest for harassing communications. He was lodged in the Graves County Jail.
