According to the Murray Police Department, on Thursday officers responded to a report of a man asleep in his car in the parking lot of a business.
Upon arrival officers spoke with 36-year-old Chad Hughes. After speaking with Hughes, K9 officer Tiko was brought to the scene and indicated that there could be drugs in the vehicle.
After searching the vehicle officers say they were able to find various pills and methamphetamine.
Hughes was arrested and is being charged with first degree possession of a controlled substance, and third degree possession of a controlled substance.
