Fundraiser Saturday for Symsonia Fire Department

A fundraiser cookout and cornhole tournament Saturday will benefit the Symsonia Fire Department.

The "End of Summer Celebration" is from 11 am until 7 pm at the Fire Department, located at 467 State Route 131 in Symsonia.

The cookout features grilled hamburgers and hot dogs with chips, baked beans, and potato salad. Adult plates will be sold for $7 and kid plates will be $4 for those 12 year old and younger.

A 50-50 raffle will be held and there will be activities for the kids. An auction fundraiser will also take place, and there will be live musical entertainment.

A homemade ice cream contest will also be held, everyone is encouraged to bring their best batch as an entry.

The cornhole tournament costs $10 per team. Signups will start at 11 am and the tournament begins at 1 pm.
