West Kentucky Star has obtained Jones' petition for individual bankruptcy dated April 21, which itemizes Jones' debts totaling more than $76 million to 78 different creditors.
Jones was the owner of the now defunct Southeastern Book Company and several other Murray based businesses. He was sued in 2012 by textbook publishers McGraw-Hill and Pearson Education for allegedly producing counterfeit versions of their textbooks.
Jones is being represented by Louisville firm Kaplan & Partners, LLP.
