Three Cape Girardeau residents were arrested in Graves County on theft and drug charges after a tip from a local fire department.

On Wednesday, deputies received a tip from the Farmington Fire Department about a vehicle parked next to the station with three people covered up inside. Deputies arrived at the fire department, where they met 26-year-old Joseph Bidwell, 27-year-old Brandee Palmer, 20-year-old Desiree Garrett and a small dog.

According to deputies, the investigation revealed that the vehicle had been stolen out of Cape Girardeau. After a search of the vehicle deputies reportedly seized methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.

All three were arrested and lodged in the Graves County Jail. The dog was taken to a local animal shelter.

Bidwell is being charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000, first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and possession of drug paraphernalia. Garrett is being charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000, possession of a controlled substance first degree (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, and public intoxication. Palmer is being charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000, first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, and public intoxication.
