Burglary Caught on Video Yields Arrest

Surveillance video led to a woman's arrest on burglary charges.

According to the La Center Police Department, officers investigated a burglary at La Oasis in La Center on Thursday.  Police said video footage showed a woman, identified as Mercedes Ferguson, walk into the store office and take approximately $300 in cash, then attempt to disconnect the video cameras inside the store.

Ferguson was arrested and lodged in the Ballard County Detention Center. She is charged with 3rd degree burglary and tampering with physical evidence.
