Vehicle fire threatens garage near Lovelaceville

A vehicle fire this morning in the driveway of a home threatened to spread to a garage.

Concord Fire Department battled the blaze at a home on Womble Road off Old Lovelaceville Road. The call came in around 7:30 a.m. and when firefighters arrived the vehicle was fully involved. Firefighters said it took about 45 minutes to get under control, but they remained at the home for another hour.

Fortunately, the vehicle was the only loss of property. There were no injuries.
