Two Dawson Springs residents have been indicated by a Hopkins County grand jury on child sexual abuse materials charges.

WPKY reported the indictments involve charges from Texas.  A true bill was returned against Brittney Monahan which include one count of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under 12, two counts of prohibited use of electronic means to induce a minor under 12 to engage in sexual activity along with five counts of distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under the age of 18.

Landon Talley is charged with three counts of prohibited use of electronic means to induce a minor under 12 to engage in sexual activity by using a communication system, four counts of distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under 12, five counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under 18 and ten counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under 12.

Both were also indicted on charges of trafficking meth, possession of suboxone, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Monhan and Talley were arrested in March by Madisonville Police after they received word from the FBI about a child sexual abuse material investigation following an arrest in Hubbard, Texas, for possession of child pornography.

The FBI discovered that Monahan and Talley had been texting their suspect between March and April 2025. According to police, they received transcripts of those messages and the search warrants used to identify the suspects
