Three extricated from Sunday crash in Caldwell County

Three people had to be extricated from a single-vehicle crash on Sunday in Caldwell County.

The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office was called to the crash near the 74-mile marker along southbound I-69. An SUV, driven by 57-year-old Moreland West of Paducah, ran off the right side of the road in what were described as wet conditions. The vehicle went down an embankment, hit a drainage ditch, and flipped over before landing on its wheels.

Princeton Fire and Rescue was called in, and they used the Jaws of Life to cut West, 53-year-old Brandy West, and a juvenile free. Fortunately, all three were treated at the scene and released.
