Road Work on I-24 in Massac County Begins Today

The Illinois Department of Transportation says Southbound/Eastbound Lanes of I-24 in Massac County have been restricted as of Monday morning due to road construction work that requires lane closures.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane, and work is expected to last for three weeks. Work includes patching the center line and pavement markings.

Drivers are advised to slow down and watch for equipment and workers while traveling through all work zones.

To avoid delays drivers are advised to seek an alternate route.
