Paducah Man Arrested for DUI After Crash

A Paducah man faces DUI charges after a wreck in Metropolis over the weekend.

The Metropolis Police Department says officers responded Saturday to a one vehicle crash on US 45 and 7th Street. Upon arrival, officers found a vehicle with one of its tires missing.

The driver, 33-year-old Matthew Brown of Paducah told police he was driving when one of his tires came off. Officers said Brown had a suspended license, and they could smell alcohol on his breath. He was arrested and charged with DUI and driving on a suspended license after failing a sobriety test. Brown was booked into Massac County Detention Center.
