A Metropolis man was arrested Friday after an altercation with an off-duty sheriff's deputy.
The Metropolis Police Department says officers were called Friday to a disturbance at 7th and Pearl Street.
Officers said an off duty Sheriff’s deputy told them 38-year-old Daryl Kommer threw a bottle at his vehicle. When the deputy confronted him, Kommer reportedly made threatening actions, which led the deputy to believe they were gong to fight.
Kommer was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and aggravated assault. He was booked into the Massac County Detention Center.
