As storms rolled across the Ohio Valley late Friday night into early Saturday, the National Weather Service office received reports of large hail in western Kentucky and wind damage in southeast Missouri.

Golf-ball sized hail was seen near Melber, estimated to be 1.75 inches across, along with plenty of quarter- and nickel-sized hail across Graves County.

Marshall County called in with more one-inch hail in Benton, and large hail was reported in Fulton and Ballard counties. Cairo, IL also checked in with reports of large hail.

Earlier Friday night in Missouri, high winds were strong enough to damage a shed and a garage in Stoddard County, and also brought down some power lines. Dime-sized hail in Scott County piled up to four inches deep in a few locations. Other reports included one-inch hail in Scott and Bollinger counties.

More thunderstorms are expected on Monday and Monday night, with another slight risk for severe weather.
