The Murray Ledger and Times reported Thursday that Tonda Haigler, who had accepted the position, has now delcined the offer.
Haigler had been voted at a public meeting to succeed Jerry Penner as CEO next spring, but after she said she would move to Murray, she has decided to stay in Mongomery, AL with her current employer.
The board will meet again December 23rd to determine how to proceed with a new search.
Penner announced his plans to retire this summer.
