After being spotted on Monday in McCracken County, Paducah Police thought they had captured Gregory Munsell in the Lone Oak area.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said later on Tuesday that after further investigation, the man in custody was not Munsell. Munsell remains at large and deputies believe he has ties to West Paducah and Ballard County.

Earlier in the day, Paducah Police said they received a tip that led to the arrest of a man they thought was Munsell. No other information has been released about that individual.

On Monday, McCracken County deputies were called about a suspicious vehicle located along Ogden Landing Road. Their investigation determined that it belonged to Munsell. Witnesses reported seeing him on foot in the area.

Munsell has previous charges for burglary and theft. He had been serving time for an escape in 2014, in addition to criminal mischief, wanton endangerment, and receiving stolen property.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Munsell is asked to contact law enforcement.
